RPBuddy is a single-player worldbuilding and roleplay game. You build a world, fill it with characters, and play it by
talking to them. The AI plays every character. They remember you, they have opinions about you, and what you say
changes things: deals get made, quests get taken, friendships form and sour.
You don't need to know any tabletop rules, and there's nothing to memorize. You walk around, talk to people, and the
world keeps moving.
The core loop
Get into your world. Pick a genre and describe the place you want.
Place a building with characters in it. A tavern, a clinic, a noodle bar: whatever your world needs.
Walk in and talk to them.
Everything else (towns, roads, enemies, lore, time passing, sharing your world) builds on that loop.
Five genres
Medieval Fantasy, Victorian, Modern Day, Neon Future and Sci-Fi: Colony. The genre sets the look,
the names, the building types, the clothing and the currency. Everything else works the same in all of them.
How these docs are organized
The Journey is the place to start. Chapters 1 to 4 take you from signing up to your first conversation in a few
minutes. Chapters 5 to 12 cover everything after that, and you can read them in any order.
Topic sections go into full detail: characters, places, conversations, the living world, adventure, images and
art, the community, and your account.
Reference collects the numbers in one place: credit costs, limits, keyboard shortcuts and a glossary.
