The Cluster tool lays out a group of building shapes inside a settlement: a row of shops, a courtyard, a village
green. It places shapes only. You fill them in afterwards.
Open Build mode (the toolbox) and choose Cluster.
Move over a settlement to preview a layout, and click to hold it in place. Click the map again to move it.
Adjust the controls:
Layout: Auto, Village, Town, Courtyard, Roadside or Freeform
Count: how many buildings
Radius: how far they spread
Frontage gap and Lot spacing: how far buildings sit from the street and from each other
Uniformity: tidy rows or a looser scatter
Size and Size variety
Shape variety
Height (floors) and Height variety
Both sides or One side of a street
The bar shows how many buildings fit ("{placed}/{requested} buildings fit"). Reroll for a different
arrangement.
Lock cluster to place them.
Locked buildings start empty, and placing them costs nothing. Choose any one in Build mode to fill it with the
Location Wizard. See The Location Wizard.
Quick-option buildings
Quick options, the first step of the Location Wizard, give you a ready-made building in one click: a name, a
description, the people who live or work there, and optional floors and rooms.
Each genre has its own set, from taverns and blacksmiths to coffee shops, noodle bars and mess halls, plus homes.
They're assembled without AI, so they appear instantly.
Reroll any person, any name or the rooms until you're happy.
Images are optional, and charged as they paint. Untick Generate images to spend no image credits.
They're written in English, and they cast their own residents rather than following your world's Peoples setting.
