Money and economy

Your wallet, and where money comes from and goes.

The wallet

Each world has one wallet, starting with a little money. Choose your money on the Command Deck (or the status bar on mobile) to see your transaction history, day by day.

The currency depends on your genre:

Victorian	coins
Modern Day	dollars
Neon Future	credits
Sci-Fi: Colony	credits

Earning money

• Bounty rewards from the Bounty Board. See Quests.
• Enemy loot. See Combat.
• Selling to shopkeepers. See Shops and trading.

Spending money

• Buying from shopkeepers. Prices depend on how they feel about you, and you can haggle.
• Losing a fight to an enemy costs some of your money.

What doesn't cost money

There's no rent, tax, travel cost or upkeep. Your money only changes when you trade, fight, or finish a bounty.
