Chat commands

In a conversation, type / in the message box. A list of commands appears above the input. Keep typing to narrow it, then Enter or click to pick one. When a command has everything it needs, Send is the first choice. Arrow down for optional extras.

Command words are in English in every language (/travel, with, to). The hints under them follow your game language.

Commands only work in a face-to-face conversation, not in spectate or the tutorial.

/travel

Walk somewhere with people from the conversation, without closing the chat.

/travel with Sara Jones and Tomas to The Copper Market

Time still passes on the walk. Random encounters do not fire on this path, and you cannot cancel by clicking the map. When you arrive, everyone goes inside and the same conversation continues.

/travel to The Copper Market with nobody listed ends the conversation and you walk there alone.

See Moving around.

/weather

Change the weather for your current hex. The list only includes weather that biome can have — desert will not offer blizzard.

Pick a condition and Send to change it quietly. The clock and sky update; nobody comments.

Add note if you want them to notice: /weather rain note the sky opens without warning. That writes a hidden scene beat and they react.

/ooc

A director's note the character sees and you do not. Nothing appears in the chat log.

Type /ooc then the instruction, as-is — quotes, parentheses, whatever you write.

This is not the same as writing OOC in the open chat, which characters often argue with.

/move

Instantly move one character who is not the person you're talking to (the left portrait).

If they arrive here with a note, the current conversation gets a hidden beat and they can react. If you send them to another place, they get a personal memory of going there (it does not count as having met you). The conversation stays open.

Journal → Characters still has Move to current location and Send home. See Moving people yourself.

/clear

Wipe this conversation and start a blank scene with the same person.

You must add confirm. /clear alone will not send.

The wiped conversation is deleted. No memory is formed from it, even if you leave afterward. Anyone who had joined the scene is unjoined. You can start again, or use /ooc to set the new scene.
